DIESELPUNK
Another link from a friend, led me into some interesting byways. She sent it for this wonderful Art Deco ferry built in 1935 and would not look out of place today. of course I had to explore further ——-
—-and how could I resist this Steam Powered Submarine??
—-exploring further there is an item on The Age of Speed that I was torn between which picture to use to illustrate it as this one I remember being on a set of cigarette cards in a series called “Speed” put out by Wills in the days when smoking was acceptable. I think it is Captain George Eyston setting a Diesel record in “Speed Of The Wind” but I’ll check on that. I could not resist this little Brooklands car too so you have them both.
