My Ear-Trumpet Has Been Struck By Lightning

portrait-photo

The Wunderkammer of the Mild Colonial Boy, Esq., a Reactionary Tory Gentleman, who armed only with a Steampowered Babbage Engine and Pure Intentions, wanders the Time Streams and Aetheric Plane gathering an Eccentric Hodgepodge of Curiousities, Frivolities, Whimsicalities and Nonsense.

Q. Why is your Tumblelog called "My Ear-Trumpet Has Been Struck by Lightning"?

A. Because "My Grandmother's Ear-Trumpet Has Been Struck by Lightning" wouldn't fit in the available space.

The Four Queens Find Lancelot Sleeping by Frank Cadogan Cowper, 1954.

1926. Four Queens find Sir Lancelot sleeping is taken from Mallorie’s Morte d’Arthur, in the same fashion as when Rossetti took similar subjects from the same work in the 1850’s. The model for the painting was William Jackson, grandson of George Howard, 9th Earl of Carlisle. The model for the Queen standing at the back with the fur wrap was Ann Armson.
