Mr.B The Gentleman Rhymer - Songs for Acid Edward

A medley of early 90s rave classics, played on the banjolele by a terribly posh chap. What more could you ask?

“Who’s coming up for the rush?”

showmethelighter:

Mr B. The Gentleman Rhymer – he was the one that got away!  I’ve seen this guy twice at Tapestry events – he does hip-hop, sorry, chap-hop tracks on a ukulele.  He was performing a full hour long show in Edinburgh at the Voodoo Rooms, but I didn’t manage to see it … so tantalising!

Mr B the Gentleman Rhymer - The Crack Song

I said: ‘That sounds nice’”

Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer - Curtsey for me.

I saw this gentleman perform in Cardiff over the Jubilee bank holiday and had an excellent time. I am definitely ‘team’ Mr B.

People in suits hold a protest against a planned Abercrombie & Fitch store on Savile Row, London

I Agree.

Now this is my sort of protest. No unwashed ruffians. Everyone dressed smartly. And how wonderful - Mr B, the Gentleman Rhymer is there with his banjolele.

It had to happen - a Chap Off in 2011 between Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer and his arch steampunk rival Professor Elemental.

Mr. B and Professor Elemental - contenders for the “chap hop” throne. So far my allegiance is with Professor Elemental, even though Mr. B is more gentlemanly - but somehow the Professor’s air of danger and adventure is appealing.
Click picture for source and a splendid article about the two.

My preference is always for the gentleman - in this case, Mr B the Gentleman Rhymer. That “Professor” Elemental (from which University, I say?) seems to be something of a scuff and possibly a bounder.
