Description: Born in London in 1860. He trained as a doctor at London Hospital. He arrived in Queensland at the end of 1885. From May 1887, he was the Government Medical Officer and later established his own practice in Rockhampton.

As someone who is Queensland born and bred, I honestly don’t know how women didn’t die of heat exhaustion dressing like this day in, day out. Even Winter is t-shirt weather here, for crying out loud.

And I’d love to know who she was- local history is a bit of a passion of mine as my ancestors were a fairly prominent pioneering family here in Brisbane.
