The Wunderkammer of the Mild Colonial Boy, Esq., a Reactionary Tory Gentleman, who armed only with a Steampowered Babbage Engine and Pure Intentions, wanders the Time Streams and Aetheric Plane gathering an Eccentric Hodgepodge of Curiousities, Frivolities, Whimsicalities and Nonsense.
Q. Why is your Tumblelog called "My Ear-Trumpet Has Been Struck by Lightning"?
A. Because "My Grandmother's Ear-Trumpet Has Been Struck by Lightning" wouldn't fit in the available space.
Cullen Meyer is only 27 and has been collecting/hoarding the wildest 1950s “The Dead 50s” kitsch since he was 15. He lives in a (limited sq. footage) New York apartment and wishes he had a 1950s house. The stuff you see here is not all of it. Cullen’s got at least 50 more moss lamps (lighting is his favorite) and tons of other period pieces in storage! Part of his job is going to every major flea market and antique show in the country and eventually wants to get into set design for movies. (Photos: Paul Quitoriano)
Everyone should hear this gem of songwriting. I dare you to listen to this all the way through. The lyrics are hilarious.
Any lyricist who compares Jesus to the Mounties deserves a Grammy.
Christianity has produced many great works of art over the centuries. It has also produced Sonseed singing “Jesus is A Friend”
"This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you." —(KJV John 15:12-15)
