This young Victorian beauty is obviously poised on the brink of adulthood. Her hairstyle and expression are quite grown-up, but she hasn’t graduated from white lace and short skirts to more womanly styles. In keeping with the girlhood innocence of her costume, she is wearing small pierced earrings and a very simple tiny heart-shaped locket brooch at the throat of her high white lace collar.
